First Line Friday - August 16, 2019

Welcome to First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books

Today's first line makes my animal-loving heart very happy! I'm sharing the first line from Reuniting with the Cowboy by Shannon Taylor Vannatter. It was recently rereleased in combination with Rocky Mountain Cowboy by Tina Radcliffe (which I featured last week) in a book called Sweetheart Reunion.

"Fifteen dogs and twenty-one cats."

This could possibly be my most favorite first line ever! I love animals and would have fifteen dogs and twenty-one cats if I could. :)

Now it's your turn! Share the first line of the book closest to you in the comments below, then head over to Hoarding Books to see who else is sharing first lines on their blogs today.

    1. That IS a lot! I'd like to visit though - I could probably pet them until my little animal loving heart is full. :)

Today on my blog I shared the first line from My Dearest Dietrich by Amanda Barratt. I just finished A Glitter of Gold by Liz Johnson but I'm about to start The Healing Jar by Wanda Brunstetter so I'll share that first line here: "Tears sprang to Lenore Lapp’s eyes as she stood with the others who had come to witness this special English wedding." Happy reading!

  8. A great opening line and a cute cover. :)

I’m sharing on my blog the first line from When Mountains Sing by Stacy Monson.

The clash of cologne, sweat, and ego assaulted her senses as it did every weekday morning.
