Memorable Monday: December 3, 2018

It's Memorable Monday! This idea was created by Becca from The Becca Files to highlight books that we've read in the past and are memorable to us.

This week I'm highlighting A Christmas Surprise by Kimberly Rose Johnson. I love single mom stories (maybe because I was raised by one) and this is a great one. This would be a great book to add to your holiday reading list.

From the Back of the Book

Veterinarian Pete Harding doesn’t date single moms.
After showing up to a blind date to find he left before she arrived, Keira is reminded why she doesn’t date. She had true love once but a tragic accident ripped him from her and their son, who’s now four and only wants a puppy for Christmas this year.
Although off limits since she’s a single mom, Pete determines to help Keira find the perfect puppy for her son.
Keira wonders about Pete. He says he doesn’t date women with children, yet she can’t help but notice he behaves like a man who has more on his mind than finding a puppy.
Will love break down Pete’s walls and bring more than a puppy for Christmas?
Now It's Your Turn!

  1. I would LOVE to love Christmas stories but I almost never read them. I'm also not a hallmark fan though and I know the two usually go hand in hand. I prefer more realism than fluffy romance... unless there's a prince involved for some reason LOL. I'm glad you enjoyed this one!

  2. I love Hallmark, fluffy, AND princes. :) I do like a deeper novel every now and then, too. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. This sounds like a fun read. I recently enjoyed Kimberly's A Love Song for Kayla and recommend it.
As for a memorable read, there are many. One of the first to come to mind is Turtles in the Road by Kaley Rhea and Rhonda Rhea. It is memorable because of the unexpected laughs it gave me. Had me shaking the bed I was laughing so hard, wiping tears from my eyes.

  4. I'm thrilled you enjoyed the book! Thanks for sharing. I'm currently listening to The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck.
