Memorable Monday - June 25, 2018

It's Memorable Monday! This idea was created by Becca from The Becca Files to highlight books that we've read in the past and are memorable to us.

Today I'm highlighting My Stubborn Heart by Becky Wade. I just finished Falling for You by the same author (you can read my review here) and was remembering other books that I've read by her. I remember reading My Stubborn Heart at the beach so I was able to read it in a couple of days which was a good thing because I didn't want to put it down.

Review: Falling for You by Becky Wade

From the Back of the Book
Famously beautiful model Willow Bradford is taking a temporary break from her hectic schedule to work as the innkeeper at her family’s small-town bed-and-breakfast. She was enjoying the peace of her hometown, Merryweather, Washington, right up until she came face-to-face with Corbin Stewart, the man she loves to hate. A thoughtful rule-follower by nature, Willow threw caution to the wind four years ago when she entrusted her heart to Corbin — then suffered the consequences when it all fell apart.
Former NFL quarterback Corbin is forceful, charming, and accustomed to getting what he wants . . . except where Willow Bradford is concerned. Unable to forget her, he’s never stopped regretting what happened between them.
When a decades-old missing persons case brings Corbin and Willow together, they’re forced to confront their past and who they’ve become — and whether they can risk falling for one another all over again?

When Zach's sister, Evangeline, insists on dousing Logan with sunshine every time their paths cross, Logan finds his quest completely derailed. Memorable Monday - June 18, 2018

It's Memorable Monday! This idea was created by Becca from The Becca Files to highlight books that we've read in the past and are memorable to us.

I'm cheating a little bit today. Becca's idea is for us to highlight books that we haven't blogged about before. Last week I highlighted a memorable marriage book so this week I want to highlight a memorable book for singles. I did blog about this book before, but I think it's worth highlighting again. The book I'm remembering today is Praying for Your Future Husband by Robin Jones Gunn and Tricia Goyer.

From the Back of the Book
For Quinn Collins, buying the flower shop in downtown Harbor Pointe fulfills a childhood dream, but also gives her the chance to stick it to her mom, who owned the store before skipping town twenty years ago and never looking back. Completing much-needed renovations, however - while also competing for a prestigious flower competition her mother is judging - soon has Quinn in over her head. Not that she’d ever ask for help.
Quinn’s father and his meddling friends find the perfect solution in notorious Olympic skier Grady Benson. When his pit stop in the old-fashioned lakeside town leads to a fight and property damage, helping Quinn as a community service sentence seems like the best way to avoid more negative press.
Quinn finds Grady reckless and entitled; he thinks she’s way too uptight. Yet as they begin working together, Quinn sees glimpses of the vulnerability behind the bravado, and Grady learns from her passion and determination, qualities he seems to have lost in his pursuit of Olympic gold. When a well-intentioned omission has devastating consequences, Grady finds himself cast out of town—and Quinn’s life—possibly forever. Forced to face the hurt holding her back, Quinn has to choose: let go or risk missing out on the adventure of a lifetime.

First Line Friday - June 1, 2018

Welcome to First Line Friday, hosted by Hoarding Books! It's hard to believe it's the first Friday in June! Do you have any special plans you are looking forward to this weekend (besides reading, of course)?

My first line today comes from A Stolen Heart by Amanda Cabot. I read the first book in this series, A Borrowed Dream, a couple of months ago and loved it. (You can read my review here.) I think the cover of this book is so sweet! I am very much looking forward to reading A Stolen Heart soon!

"No matter what anyone said, she wouldn't believe this was a mistake."
