Christmas Books!

I LOVE Christmas books! Do you? At the beginning of the Christmas book season (if there is such a thing), I had what I thought was a manageable list of Christmas books I wanted to read. Then that list grew. Now it looks like I'm going to have quite a list to start with next year. These are some (just some) of the books still on my list. If you click on the images, it will take you to the description of the book on the author's web-site.

First Line Friday - December 15, 2018

Happy First Line Friday! Where has half the month gone? It seems like it was just October. I had an unexpected project come up at work so I've been combining some overtime with holiday festivities and it's been busy! The second half of our month looks much slower so I'm looking forward to relaxing with a book near the Christmas tree.

My first line today is from A (kinda) Country Christmas by Krista Phillips. It was free for Kindle earlier this week so I took advantage of the freebie. Have you seen this author's web-site? I think it's fabulous! You can check it out here. I love the purple and sparkles! She also has a very special story about her daughter.

First Line Friday - December 8, 2017

Happy Friday! I hope you are enjoying the anticipation of and preparations for Christmas!

My first line today is from A Royal Christmas Wedding by Rachel Hauck. I read this last year and enjoyed it. If you haven't read it yet, I recommend adding it to your list of Christmas reads!

Christian Author Christmas Extravaganza

If you're like me, you are currently knee deep in Christmas books. Yay! However, January is coming and it will be time to put those books away and move on to other great reads. Below is a list of titles that are currently on sale (a few are even free!) from several Christian authors. The sale runs from December 8 through at least December 12 so hurry and grab your copies today! These discounted and free books are such a great way to discover new authors or catch up on books you might have missed. (Disclaimer: I have not read all of these books, however they are all books that I want to read or are written by authors whose writing I am familiar with.)

Review: The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck by Bethany Turner

From the Back of the Book

Becoming a Christian is the best--and worst--thing that has ever happened to Sarah Hollenbeck.

Up to now, Sarah Hollenbeck made her very comfortable living as a well-known, bestselling author of steamy romance novels that would leave the members of her new church blushing. Now she's trying to reconcile her past with the future she's chosen. She's still under contract with her publisher and on the hook with her enormous fan base for the kind of book she's not sure she can write anymore. She's discovering that the church might frown on her tithing on royalties from a "scandalous" book. And the fact that she's falling in love with her pastor . . . well, let's just say that doesn't make things any easier.

First Line Friday - December 1, 2017

Happy First Line Friday! It's hard to believe it's December 1! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and are starting to enjoy the holiday season. I am looking forward to reading more Christmas books.

My first line today is from An Informal Christmas by Heather Gray. This book is on my list of Christmas books I'm hoping to read this month.
