The weather is warm, school is out, and summer is (almost officially) here. That means afternoons spent by the pool with book in hand, staying up late because we keep thinking "just one more chapter", and lots of time browsing the local bookstore to increase our To Be Read piles, right? That's not how you can spend your summer? Well, me neither, but it sure would be nice if life took a reading break!
I do have a list of books I'm hoping to read over the summer months. Here is a look at that list (in no particular order).
True to You by Becky Wade
I loved the Porter Series by Becky Wade and really enjoyed the prequel novella Then Came You to her new series.
Paws for Love by Dana Mentink
The cover says "A Novel for Dog Lovers". I'm in! This looks like an adorable read!
You're Loved No Matter What by Holley Gerth
I'm planning to use this in my quiet times this summer.
Love Among the Lilacs by Jenna Victoria
This is a new to me author. I like the idea of reading a story about someone who was formerly homeless (hopefully) getting a happy ending.
The First Hostage by Joel C. Rosenberg
Joel C. Rosenberg. Need I say more? I can't believe I haven't read this series yet! I couldn't put down the books in his first political thriller series and I'm excited to start another!
An Uncommon Courtship by Kristi Ann Hunter
I am LOVING this series and I must get this one read in time to read her next release which is scheduled for September.
What's on your summer reading list?
