First Line Friday - November 8, 2019

Welcome to First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books

I am currently reading Serving Up Love which is a collection of four novellas by Tracie Peterson, Karen Witemeyer, Regina Jennings, and Jen Turano. I'll share the first line from More Than a Pretty Face by Karen Witemeyer since that is the novella I am currently reading (and really enjoying!).

"'I'm not going to marry her, Mother.'"

Now it's your turn! Share the first line of the book closest to you in the comments below, then head over to Hoarding Books to see who else is sharing first lines on their blogs today.
