Review: It's a Love Story: From Happily to Ever After

Title:  It's a Love Story: From Happily to Ever After
Author: Lincee Ray
Publication Date: April 2019
Length: 208 pages

From the Back of the Book

We all love to be loved. And we love to fall in love.

As children, we pour our love into our pets and our friends. As teenagers, we fall in love with musicians and actors and the boy whose locker is next to ours. As we mature, we long for romantic love that will last a lifetime. Sacrificial love, unexplainable love, familial love, desperate love. Love songs and love stories. Clearly, we were created with the longing for love ingrained in our souls.

With lots of with and a bit of wisdom drawn from a lifetime of falling in love, Lincee Ray invites you to an unabashed celebration of that loving feeling. As she reveals the loves of her life and encourages you to recall your own, you'll discover alongside her that there is only One who can ever truly fulfill the deepest longings of our hearts. And He made us to be part of a divine love story.

First Line Friday - May 24, 2019

Welcome to First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books! I am extra excited this Friday because I'm starting a one week "staycation" today. Yay!!! I went to the bookstore and purchased two books and have a novella lined up on my Kindle.

One of the books I bought is A Welcome at Our Door by Amy Clipston. I am proof that blog tours with JustRead Publicity Tours work! I read the first two chapters on someone's blog post who was part of the JustReads tour for this book and then I was hooked! Book blogs in general have helped me find SO MANY great books that I don't think I would otherwise have found.

If the first two chapters of this book are any indication, I am in for a treat as I continue reading!

First Line Friday - May 17, 2019

Welcome to First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books! Do you have special plans for the weekend? I am planning to go to the greenhouse and get some summer vegetables for planting and some petunias to put in pots. I love being able to pop outside in the morning and pick some veggies for that day's salad! Of course I'm also hoping to get in some reading time, too.

I'm currently reading A Tender Hope by Amanda Cabot. It's the third book in the Cimarron Creek Trilogy and I loved the first two books in this series.

Alyssa Reid has never shied away from a challenge, but she may be in over her head this time. The single mom is juggling two landscaping projects with strict deadlines. Having her young son and an ornery runaway goat underfoot certainly isn’t helping. A handsome cowboy is assigned to help her, and she finds herself losing focus in a whole new way.

Dare Jackson knows what it’s like to be raised by a single mom. When the Sage Valley ranch hand meets Alyssa and her son Noah, he’s immediately drawn to them. The more he gets to know them, the more he wants to be there for them both. But with every attempt he makes, he can feel Alyssa pulling farther away. He needs to change his game plan, and fast, because he's already having trouble imagining life without her.
